We’re looking to develop a new generation of talented and ambitious consultants working within the Artificial Intelligence (AI) team. Cognitive computing is poised to systematically transform how organizations think, act, and operate, with IBM Watson leading the charge in this revolutionary era. At Cognitive Business Decision Support, we deliver the services and solutions that enable clients to maximize the value of their information assets. This is accomplished by leveraging new sources of internal and external information while also simplifying and aligning their data (structured and unstructured) and analytics environments to address their most important business opportunities.
As an entry-level data scientist and consultant, you will be exposed to different aspects of our clients’ businesses, including enablement of the cognitive journey, leveraging structured and unstructured data through approaches such as machine learning, deep learning, and data visualization. The work will be project-based and typically your assignments will last 2-9 months. After that, you’ll move to another assignment to gain exposure to different business environments.
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
At least a bachelor’s degree with work experience or master’s degree, having graduated or worked in computer science, mathematics, science, technology management coupled with business management, or economics. A PhD is beneficial.
Experience in Python, R, IBM SPSS Modeler, SQL, machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, or related technologies
Touchpoints with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or NoSQL
Outstanding analytical skills, including the ability to apply logic reasoning to solve problems
Demonstrated history of achievement and leadership in academics, internships, and work
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
Ability to work independently as well as in an agile team environment
Passionate about identifying, designing, and building solutions to challenging issues and problems
Fluent in German and English
