IBM is seeking a CMOS RF/Mixed Signal Designer to work at the Thomas J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of RF and mixed signal integrated circuits in advanced node CMOS (Complementary Metal–Oxide–Semiconductor) technologies. We focus on circuit designs that enable the creation of differentiated solutions for a range of mixed signal challenges. Key areas of interest include custom mixed signal integrated circuit design, and power-efficient RF design. Familiarity with and experience in RF signal generation and detection is a plus. This job will also entail driving the development of new intellectual property.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Have experience with relevant industry-standard development tools such as Cadence
Possess a track record of success in completing complex integrated circuit designs
Work successfully with a diverse and dynamic team of both operational and technical personnel
Collaborate well with a multi-disciplinary team (team player)
Possess proven writing and presentation skills
Successfully create and communicate technical ideas
Responsibilities will include innovative circuit design, simulation, layout and/or layout oversight, power reduction/optimization, verification, and hardware evaluation support.
Minimum of a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related area is required.
U.S. Citizenship is required.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum of a Master's degree in electrical engineering (or related field)
At least 2 years of IC design experience in CMOS
Ability to gain and maintain a security clearance
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering
At least 4 years’ experience in digital logic design and development
Proven RF and mixed signal IC design experience in CMOS
