As the Content Marketing lead for the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) program, you will be making a lasting impact for the IBM Security business unit. By understanding the CISO’s challenges and needs, you will shape our voice in the market and support the thought leadership and demand generation efforts of the IBM Security business.
The Security marketing team is looking for a passionate marketer who loves to think big and bold to create the go-to-market strategy, supporting assets and content for our CISO program. The ideal candidate would be a strong marketing athlete that’s able to quickly immerse themselves into CISOs behavior, craft compelling narratives that differentiate IBM Security from the competition, and deliver interesting stories through dynamic assets and channels.
Continually stay abreast of CISO’s aspirations, fears and behaviors
Create and maintain CISO value propositions and associated narratives for campaigns, events, and communications
Develop key content assets that position IBM Security as a trusted CISO partner and set us apart from the competitive landscape
Work across the IBM Security portfolio teams to ensure the CISO message supports the breadth of our business value
Work with geography marketing teams to evaluate the CISO message, assets, and campaign nuances for their regions to ensure that we’re delivering a worldwide CISO story
Candidate must be able to work out of our Austin, TX, Atlanta, GA, Cambridge, MA.*
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Proven expert at messaging and storytelling
Very strong writing skills essential – frequent writing is a requirement
Communications – able to work in a matrixed organization with a variety of marketing roles, as well as sales and offering management roles
Ability to deeply understand and profile target buyers – their needs, wants, beliefs, as well as how and when they learn about technology solutions to their business problems
Execution and project management skills
Readiness to travel 10% annually
Fluency in English
