Job Description

IBM Global Business Services is currently seeking a SAP HANA Application Architect experienced in S/4 HANA and Suite on HANA projects. The SAP HANA Application Architect is responsible for leading a team of application development resources and should work closely with the IT leaders both in-house and at customer sites. Individuals should be capable of working independently to play an application architect role in HANA code remediation and Green field implementation, and Suite on HANA migration client project requirements. The candidate for this position will be responsible for ensuring that the engagement delivers to client expectations on time and within budget, as well as delivering planned profit to IBM. The SAP HANA Application Architect is expected to draft and review responses to Requests for Information (RFI), responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP), IBM contracts, and IBM statements of work.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 4 years of proven capability of working with sales teams in providing Application development resource requirement and effort estimates for HANA migration and growth initiatives.

  • At least 4 years of experience in performing application development assessments, conducting planning sessions, defining technical roadmaps, creating application architecture design guidelines.

  • At least 2 years of experience managing projects that include Application architecture of SAP HANA, Suite on HANA Migrations – including Code remediation / Optimization, various Tools for development team, Core Data Services, ABAP Managed Database Procedures, Development aspects of Simple Finance, Fiori implementations , SAP Netweaver Gateway, HANA Live

  • At least 4 years of experience in facilitating and guiding requirements gathering, analysis, development of hypotheses/conclusions, production of reports, delivery of presentations, solution delivery and assist in securing new services work

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • At least 8 years of experience in SAP ABAP Development / Integration

  • At least 5 years of experience in leading a development team of 5 or more resources

  • At least 3 years of experience in HANA Application Development Consulting as team member or team lead

  • At least 2 HANA Migration projects as application architect/team lead

  • At least 1 HANA Green field project as application architect/team lead
