IBM Business Sales & Delivery Executive in Hong Kong

Job Description


Work as a member of the senior team to grow IBM's key accounts and business in the banking industry in Hong Kong, and provide professional and business leadership

Build client relationships in selected HK banking accounts, identify project opportunities for IBM's chosen solutions, work with the service lines to solution and close deals

Recruit, develop and retain banking focused consulting professionals

Accelerate growth in digital banking, AI / cognitive / analytics, API banking, cloud migration and micro services

Personal sales and revenue of USD 6 to 8m a year and driving a business of over 10m a year

Work collaboratively with the GBS banking team (HK and Greater China) the Service Line teams (HK and Greater China leaders) and the IBM Global Markets sales team in HK.

Business Development : Engaging with key client decision makers, organizing and leading business pursuits. Participating and leading all aspects of the proposal development and orals process.

Domain Development : Development of assets and methodologies, development of point-of-view, research or white papers, support development of marketing collateral.

Project Delivery : Managing engagement risk, project financials including planning and budgeting, managing account receivables, defining deliverable content, ensuring buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client.

People Development : Performing the role of counselor and coach, providing input and guidance into the firms staffing process, and actively participates in staff recruitment and retention activities.


At least 8 years of experience in banking either in-house or in consulting

Experience of building client relationships to drive sales and revenue

Experience of developing and running a business of at least USD 5m sales and revenue a year

Understanding of and insights into the impact of digital technologies / digital transformation in Banking

Personal eminence, Deep banking industry understanding - a recognized subject matter expertise in key domains in Banking

Professional network in Hong Kong banks a significant advantage

Excellent communications skills orally and in writing, able to craft and deliver great presentations in English and Cantonese
