SAP Functional Consultant – Supply Chain – Sydney and Melbourne

IBM has a 30 year history of collaboration and co-innovation with SAP. IBM formed the first SAP System Integration Practice and currently there are more than 30000 SAP consultants globally in IBM and we are seeking to add to this.

The SAP Practice in A/NZ began in 1995, and has a long history of successful delivery. The Practice is currently in growth mode due to a number of recent new projects being won.

The Need for this Role

Building demand in the market and with an increase in IBM’s share of it, we have created a need for more SAP consultants. In particular, we need consultants with natural consulting skills, energy, and an ability to embrace new methods and techniques. Clients are seeking faster times to value, best practice standardisation, and a corresponding emphasis on business integration rather than bespoke development.

Required Attributes

  1. Proven Functional consulting skills in SAP Supply Chain

  2. Experience in defining and successfully delivering client workshops to achieve agreement and mutual understanding

  3. Superior problem solving skills with a client success focus

  4. An ability to work semi-autonomously to deadlines

  5. Broad SAP understanding

  6. An ability to travel (maybe one or Two days a week)

  7. Proven team player with demonstrable flexibility

  8. Broad understanding of forecasting, scheduling, planning, and logistics

Desired Attributes

  1. Functional SAP EAM – Enterprise Asset management project experience

  2. At least one end to end SAP transition or implementation

  3. Experience and skills in one or more of – Data Migration; Interface Development; Testing; Defect Management; Training
