IBM Global Business Services (GBS) is hiring an Associate Partner (AP) with deep expertise in the analytics domain and consultative selling experience across various industries in Canada. The Associate Partner with subject matter expertise in Cognitive and Analytics is accountable for the successful sales and delivery of cognitive computing, analytics and process optimization solutions. This position will have direct involvement leading and selling cutting edge, first-of-a-kind solutions that combine Advanced Analytics capabilities with IBM's Watson cognitive platform along with other emerging cognitive computing platforms to deliver solutions that fundamentally transform the customer experience. We’re looking for dynamic people with creative spirit and a profound ability to envision how analytics combined with cognitive computing can transform how business is done.
Contribute to growth in IBM Global Business Services (GBS) new business, revenue and profit from Canadian companies using analytics and cognitive computing.
Identify and advance new business opportunities to closure.
Collaborate with IBM Watson Group and other emerging cognitive computing platforms to help develop use case-specific assets and accelerators to drive combined analytics and cognitive solution.
Build, grow, and steward client and business partner relationships
Assist in assuring client satisfaction and maintaining a strong client relationship through delivery excellence
Establish compelling points of view about how analytics and cognitive computing can be used to transform customer engagement and/or various aspects of business operations
Define cognitive solutions that enable core industry process optimization, e.g. underwriting, claims, risk, etc.
Collaborate with the GBS Digital practices (e.g., iX, IOT, Mobile) and IBM Watson Group to help develop use case-specific assets and accelerators to drive combined analytics and cognitive solutions
Lead pre-sales activities, assessments, and the delivery of transformational solutions
Establish and maintain deal focused, trusted relationships with clients and partners to scope, solution, propose, close, and deliver complex first-of-a-kind analytics and cognitive computing projects
Hands-on development of deliverables utilizing emerging cognitive computing implementation methodologies
Assist in the growth and development of the Cognitive and Analytics Solutions practice by providing leadership and direction, contributing to the growth of intellectual capital in the industry and supporting the development of other consultants through mentoring and/or coaching activities
Business case development, project and program management, proposal writing and business management

At least 5 years of experience negotiating and selling consulting services projects
At least 5 years of experience in formal project management methodology
At least 3 years of experience in advanced analytics solutions
At least 3 years of experience in business development and sales of consulting services to C-suite executives of $3M+ / year
At least 3 years of experience delivering complex consulting services projects
At least 3 years of experience managing and leading teams
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
At least 8 years of experience negotiating and selling consulting services projects
At least 8 years of experience in formal project management methodology
At least 8 years of experience in business development and sales of consulting services to C-suite executives of $5-6M+ / year
