Job Description

The Oncology and Genomics, Reimbursement Strategy Leader , is responsible to define, develop and deliver a reimbursement strategy for how our oncology products and services will be paid for, worldwide. Specifically, the position will be responsible for knowing the public policy and regulatory reimbursement issues that impact Watson Health. As such, the position will play a key role in Watson Health's overall approach to prioritizing international markets and commercializing our products, serving as the subject matter experts on current reimbursement landscape, including coverage, coding and payment policies and procedures, around regulated and unregulated medical devices.

Responsibilities

Define the art of the possible to get our regulated and unregulated products and services paid for

Develop country specific strategies for reimbursement, including an analysis of which payors represent what percentage of the patient groups for which our product would be used, what evidence and data is needed, and associated timing and costs to implement.

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure go to market strategies, including product and country priorities align with reimbursement strategies

Serve as the reimbursement subject matter experts supporting broader Watson Health sales team

Identify any policy accelerators and/or barriers to reimbursement and work with appropriate leaders to assess and implement any public policy campaigns to influence policy accordingly

Be the IBM representative and face of reimbursement, including serving on trade association committees, forming alliances, and public speaking

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 3+ years reimbursement experience

  • 3+ years health care experience

  • 3+ years experience (or equivalent) Oncology industry

  • 3+ years engaging Csuite leaders

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Advanced degree preferred

  • 3+ years reimbursement experience
