Role: Senior Cloud Integration Architect (SCIA)
The SCIA is responsible for delivering design and implementation services in the area of application integration to IBM customers, as well as providing services related technical support to IBM sales teams during the sales cycle. These services comprise design, implementation and operation of both integration infrastructure and integration deployable artefacts.
The SCIA will spend a large proportion of their time communicating with both IBM personnel and customer personnel, at all levels, so they must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, in both formal and casual situations.
Most engagements are located at customer establishments, so that a willingness to travel and spend substantial amounts of time away from home is essential. The SCIA will frequently work alone, but may also be required to lead teams on engagements, so a demonstrated knowledge of project management, and the ability to apply this knowledge is necessary.
The SCIA must enjoy interacting with people who possess a wide range of understanding of technical issues and be able to provide appropriate explanation and/or discussion of these issues. The role is deeply technical and the SCIA must enjoy problem analysis, problem resolution and be passionate about providing the correct technical solution to meet a customer's requirements.
The SCIA must be skilled and be able demonstrate successful Customer deliver of the following IBM products: IIB and MQ, now known as IBM Application Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM Application Program Interface Connect (API-C), IBM DataPower (DP), IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), IBM Tivoli Monitoring Suite as it applies to Integration.
The SCIA must have proven knowledge of infrastructure design, implementation and operation on, as a minimum, Microsoft Windows, Unix and Linux, IBMz/OS and IBM Cloud and Other Cloud Providers. A proven knowledge of more niche platforms, such as IBM iSeries (previously AS/400), IBM z/OS and Hewlett Packard Non-stop Kernel (Previously Tandem).
The SCIA must possess demonstrated knowledge of application development and associated source management methodologies. They must have proven skills in developing ESQL (Extended Structured Query Language) routines, with the ability to develop Java routines an advantage.

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Preferable IBM DB2, IBM Business Process Management (BPM), IBM Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) and IBM Operational Decision Management (ODM).
As part of the SIA's role is the analysis of both performance data and incident data a demonstrable knowledge of statistical processing is advantageous.
A proven knowledge of systems management techniques, ideally with a formal Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) qualification, would be an advantage.
