Job Description

Working under minimal supervision, this position will partner with other members of the Professional Services team to ensure accurate and timely implementation of new systems.

Essential Job Duties

Architecture and Design – Working with customers and their vendors take ownership of the Detailed Solution Design once handed over from Pre-Sales for the solutions to be implemented, application architecture, integration/interface architecture, workflow patterns and data models. Implement - Maintain a calendar of projects and tasks to deliver timely, accurate work. Perform the application installation and deployment including configuration and troubleshooting to meet the agreed solution design, both remotely and on-site. Test – Following WHI process to preform and complete necessary internal testing as well as supporting the customer to plan and execute User Acceptance Testing. Transition - Document the solution design, configuration and complete support documentation to successfully hand over solutions to the support organisation.Interpersonal skills – strong presentation, written and verbal skills. Ability to describe complex technical subjects in a manner that translates to technical and clinical staff.
Consult - Work with the customer and internal teams during the design phase and through out the lifecycle of the project to analyse and solve problems relating to the project delivery. Engage with internal teams to resolve issues, report defects and raise feature request.

Knowledge - Maintain current product knowledge, through completing training and understanding release notes as they are issued.

Problem solving – Ability to breakdown problems into component steps, frame solution options, clearly articulate the tradeoffs in a concise manner, champion a recommendation, organize and lead a team to resolution. 


Basic Qualifications

Experience as a demonstrated Implementation/Support Engineer within the Imaging IT sector

Demonstrated experience with direct responsibility for creating and maintaining Imaging Workflow desirable.

Ideal candidate is an escalation point workflow questions or product issues. 


Experience with Enterprise Imaging Workflow such as VNA, PACS/RIS, Modality Worklist integrations. 


Knowledge of the IHE profiles in particular IHE XDS desirable.

Strong understanding of Internet concepts including Web-based applications and Web server products. 


Windows Server platform experience. 


Ability to execute SQL statements. 


Ability to execute scripts written with batch, vbscript, perl, php or javascript. 


Extensive DICOM knowledge including the ability to troubleshoot DICOM network communication. 


Extensive HL7 knowledge including the ability to manipulate HL7 messages. 


Linux or Unix operating systems experience. 


Ability to read and write SQL statements. 


Ability to read and write scritping languages like vbscript, perl, php or javascript. 


Understanding of high-end server platforms including the use of high-end storage platforms (SAN, NAS) desirable


DB2 or Oracle experience 


Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and Microsoft Project.

Strong organizational and written/verbal communications skills required 


Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
