This position requires an Executive Project Manager that leads a staff of more than 170 IT professionals providing process improvement, full lifecycle development, and operations support efforts for our client in Radford, VA. This management position is responsible for leading a project team in delivering a solution to the client, using the appropriate business measurements and terms and conditions for the project according to the project charter and project contract.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • This position is a technical managerial positions with extensive hands-on experience in computer systems acquisition, Management Information Systems (MIS) full lifecycle development, system operations, information assurance, and end user support. Candidate will have overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management. 7 years Experience managing a complex project with numerous subcontract staff.

  • 5 years Experience with a “Customer Reimbursement” finance model for IT services.

  • PMP PMI Certification

  • ITIL V3 Foundations certification

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Demonstrated success managing large, complex programs.

  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding customer, contractual, and financial obligations and performance levels.

  • Demonstrated performance managing all project resources, including subcontractors, and for establishing an effective communication plan with the project team and the client.

  • Demonstrated experience providing day to day direction to a project team and regular project status.
