Job Description

IBM Global Business Services (GBS) is hiring a Full Stack Developer for our Cognitive & Analytics Consulting Practice. This is a customer-facing and technical advisor role directly responsible for helping top-tier clients meet their business needs through innovative solutions. Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategy discussions and help build a vision around clients goals and desired outcomes

  • Collaborate with team members to implement client driven application requirements

  • Recommend client configuration settings based on data analysis and client need

  • Design and develop world-class cognitive-enabled solutions using Watson and other leading AI technologies

  • Develop the front and back end of applications and assist with distributed processing and cloud deployments

  • Troubleshoot and implement solutions to problems, helping to identify the source of the issue

  • Create dictionaries, custom annotators, reporting metrics, scorecard/dashboard designs, and predictive models

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 2 years of experience designing and developing solutions to meet specific requirements; working on multi-threaded applications in large scale environments

  • At least 2 years of experience configuring applications in one or more of programming languages such as Java, HTML, JavaScript, XML / XSLT, Web services, .NET, Scala and/or Python as well as possessing strong troubleshooting skills

  • At least 2 years of experience working with one or more UI frameworks such as Angular.js, React.js, Vue.js. Ember.js and Reactive.js

  • At least 2 years of experience in SOA Architecture working with REST and SOAP APIs

  • At least 2 years of experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases in distributed environments

  • Self-directed and demonstrable problem solving skills

  • Knowledge of modern software development techniques and methodologies

  • Knowledge and practice of secure software development processes

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • At least 4 years of experience designing and developing solutions to meet specific requirements; working on multi-threaded applications in large scale environments

  • At least 4 years of experience configuring applications in one or more of programming languages such as Java, HTML, JavaScript, XML / XSLT, Web services, .NET, Scala and Python as well as possessing strong troubleshooting skills

  • At least 4 years of experience working with one or more UI frameworks such as Angular.js, React.js, Vue.js. Ember.js and Reactive.js

  • At least 4 years of experience in SOA Architecture working with REST and SOAP APIs

  • At least 4 years of experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases in distributed environments

  • At least 2 years of experience in Natural Language Processing and Cognitive Computing applications

  • Hands on experience in building full-stack web and data apps

  • Familiarity with Agile development and continuous delivery best practices
