The Digital Strategist will lead the creation of integrated digital experiences to drive awareness and demand for the Hybrid Cloud portfolio worldwide. As a member of the Performance Marketing team the Strategist will be part of co-located teams focused on innovative approaches and best practices; leveraging data and analytics to more effectively drive continuous improvement.
In this role, the individual will be responsible for:
The strategy and execution of the end-to-end digital experience both on and off domain.
The strategist will act as the steward of Hybrid Cloud’s digital ecosystem and will focus on increasing search ranking, traffic, engaged traffic, and digital pipeline and revenue.
Drive continuous innovation to deliver a best in class experience for our users grounded in a deep understanding of the market and client, superior design and the latest technology.
Understanding and continuously monitoring search, competitive activity, digital KPIs and data from testing, to take action and drive continuous optimization.
Strategize and execute in tight partnership with SEM, Social Media, Content Marketing, Paid Media and Campaign Management to increase traffic, engagement and conversion.
Partner with Offering Management, Digital Sales, and IBM Digital Marketplace to create and deliver an effective commerce engine.
Stay informed on the latest digital marketing strategy and trends, user experience design, and digital tooling to continuously inform and update Hybrid Cloud’s experience.
Liaise and partner with other Business Units across IBM to ensure the appropriate linkage happens, and that the customer experiences a seamless ecosystem.
This role is located in IBM offices in Research Triangle Park, NC. May consider candidates to work in IBM offices in San Francisco or New York City as well.
Must have the ability to work in the US without current/future need for IBM sponsorship.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 4 years of experience as a Digital Strategist, User Experience Designer or any other role which involves strategizing and architecting user experience for high-traffic, complex digital properties.
Deep knowledge of current and emerging digital technology and social media platforms and demonstrated experience building and leading multiple digital media campaigns simultaneously.
Expert understanding of digital analytics, as well as creative best practices and content nuances by platform (ex: display, video, social, paid search, in app, etc), in order to help drive strategy and measure success.
Strong knowledge of user-centered design.
Clear understanding of search engine marketing and applying SEO best practices.
Expert understanding of web analytics, digital metrics, digital media testing methodology and optimization strategies.
Ability to articulate and present ideas based on insights, sound user experience and interaction design principles.
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Demonstrated track record of having successfully managed digital marketing experiences in a leading technology company is a plus.
Previous experience with subscription or SaaS based company preferred.
Messaging, design and content creation expertise in a technology services company.
Successful experience in marketing to IT and business professionals.
Hands-on experience managing paid media campaigns.
Familiarity with agile marketing organizations and agile design and production concepts.
