Looking to learn about BIG DATA? We are looking for Students who are interested in learning more about the hardware and/or software that IS BIG DATA. This position is for a Summer Internship working with the Storage Technical Support teams at our RTP, NC or Tucson, AZ locations. We are looking for analytical puzzle solvers who thrive in a driven enterprise customer support environment. You can work both individually and as part of a motivated worldwide team to assist IBM customers to perform problem determination on IBM Storage Hardware and Software. We are seeking demonstrated problem solvers with proven communication skills. In this position, debugging and analysis are performed via the telephone as well as electronically. You must have the desire to wow customers, articulate solutions and options, and take the opportunity to interact with end users, as well as developers and sales teams, to be a well rounded contributor. The challenge in this position is to be able to interpret complex software problems that span across multiple client and server platforms including Hardware and Software (UNIX, Linux, Advanced Interactive Executive (AIX), and Windows.)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Actively pursuing a degree in: Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science or related field

  • Passion for Learning technology

  • Experience working in Teams

  • Strong Communication, Problem Solving and Problem Determination skills

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • ​Some IBM Storage hardware and/or software experience.
