Job Description

IBM Cloud Integration’s mission is to create application and data integration technologies that allow for simple, fast, and secure access to data across a multicloud environment for the purpose of helping our clients deliver an exceptional customer experience while driving business growth.

The Product Marketing Manager acts as the product champion and is able to evangelize the Integration use cases, technology differentiators and product features and benefits working closely with extended teams across engineering, sales, and marketing. The ideal candidate has a passion for technology; the ability to understand at a deep level customer needs; and the ability to communicate the Cloud Integration value through clear, insightful marketing materials of high production quality.

Position Responsibilities include:

  • Become the product expert

  • Define and create ideal vehicles to convey specific technical advantages

  • Conceptualize and design product and solution deployment diagrams

  • Create and publish solution briefs and customer success stories

  • Develop customer facing product content in the form of PowerPoint presentations, Product Demos, Videos, White Papers and Blogs among others

  • Evangelize the differentiated value proposition at trade shows, executive briefings and internal customer events among others

  • Create self-contained product demonstration, as well as interactive product/technology/company presentations to be used on the IBM website and as sales or training support collateral

  • Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 3+ years related product marketing experience in the high-tech industry

  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills a must with demonstrated ability to communicate at the solution level and with a senior IT audience

  • Proven track record in developing thought leadership content such as white papers, case studies, solution guides, presentations, demos, contributed articles and sales training (will need to provide writing samples)

  • Ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (customer meetings and industry events)

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • MBA is a plus
