Job Description

Position Information:

Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer

Job Summary (Descriptive):

Responsible for monitoring the network, servers and any telecommunications equipment in the datacenter or remote office.

Roles and Responsibilities (Bullet Format):

  • Provide 24/7 Network health and alarm monitoring/reporting utilizing network monitoring tools

  • Review and ensure timely update and resolution of trouble tickets

  • Conduct basic troubleshooting of modem, router and switch status

  • Report, coordinate and perform follow-up with service providers for reported tickets

  • Create necessary report/update to be submitted to different stakeholders

  • Coordinate with other IBM teams and client including vendors as necessary

Technical Skills:

Relevant Skills/Experience Years of Experience

Required:

Has basic troubleshooting skills in modems, routers and switches Minimum of 1 year

Knowledgeable in creating documentation and reports Minimum of 1 year

Nice to have:

Knowledgeable in monitoring F5 LTM

Technology Required:

Knowledgeable in basic troubleshooting of network device like modem, router and switches

Knowledgeable with Solarwinds monitoring tool

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
