IBM has an immediate opportunity for a junior OR experienced, forward thinking Real-Time Systems Tester, with a passion for growth and innovation.

Responsibilities:

As a Real-Time Systems Tester, you'll use your expertise and appropriate testing tools and techniques to ensure that applications and systems under test (new and amended) conform to exacting standards. Why? So they'll perform as specified to meet clients' business goals. You'll deliver on that promise with exceptional testing strategies, test plans, test cases, test reports and quality metrics. In this position you will primarily apply your technical skills in an internal or external customer services and implementation environment. You will conduct product verification and complement the current development team whose mandate is to broaden and support our products for our client base using our Software Engineering Practices tailored to the defense industry

Note: You will be required to work on-site on a full-time basis.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in software engineering and verification techniques;

  • C/C++ Coding/Testing Knowledge and Experience;

  • Test case development;

  • Configuration Management Knowledge and use of Configuration Management Tools such as Clearcase and DOORs;

  • Ability to quickly learn a large and complex system;

  • Excellent team working skills;

  • Excellent problem-solving skills;

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills;

  • MUST HAVE a Canadian SECRET security clearance.

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Knowledge of Tactical Data links (TDL) or defense industry is desired but optional;

  • Knowledge of real time communication systems is desired but optional.
