Job Description

  • This Product Marketing role is to lead the Financial Crimes portfolio that spans AML/KYC, conduct surveillance and counterfraud management.

  • The successful candidate will be one who can work across functions to create a marketing strategy that clearly differentiates and positions IBM Watson Financial Services to win.

  • The Product Marketer is a senior role responsible for understanding the market and competition in this space and for defining and articulating our positioning within that complex market.

  • Working very closely with our colleagues in WFS Offering Management and sales, you will develop a deep understand of our offerings, our buyers/buying criteria, and be able to articulate how our value proposition is clearly differentiated versus our competitors. You will understand the market within which we operate. You will define and refine the personas that we market to and influence, and will help articulate the product value proposition and gain insights that enable you to contribute to our broader go-to-market strategy. Ultimately, you will lead our content, campaign and digital marketing teams to ensure that this foundational work is understood and consistently adopted across all of our marketing activities. You will play a key role in identifying event strategy and partner with our Analyst relations team to forge strong partnerships with key analysts in this space

  • You will work as a critical member of the Risk and Compliance/RegTech diamond team, working with content marketing leaders, campaign strategists, web, event, social and digital strategists, offering management, and other marketing subject-matter experts and agencies to build and execute an integrated marketing plan for a crucial area of the Watson Financial Services portfolio.

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Apply deep portfolio and buyer segmentation to architect the WFS Financial Crimes and Conduct Risk marketing strategy

  • Build relationships with OM and to build a deep understanding of strengths and weaknesses of our offerings and market dynamics, and be able to articulate to target cohort as well as rest of the marketing team

  • Develop strong internal and external positioning and deliver compelling POVs, differentiated messaging and leadership proof points to improve the market position and overall business results

  • Work closely with content marketing to develop sales and marketing tools –Create collateral, whitepapers, presentations, videos, and blog posts, to communicate the value proposition of our products.

  • Lead on the identification of suitable case studies and references and work with the wider marketing team to develop them

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Deep financial crimes category understanding and expertise – and understanding of the market dynamics

  • At least 5+ years product / portfolio marketing expertise in a software, solutions or financial services environment

  • Proven experience of developing value propositions, articulating differentiators, defining compelling messages

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize market, product or competitor research and analysis and produce meaningful strategic direction from it

  • Proven track record of working independently

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable working with incomplete information and in ambiguous circumstances

  • Strong, driven, task and outcome focused

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Strong leadership skills – experience working in a matrixed organization
