IBM's Manager, Corporate Communications and Automation will
Develop a management system that streamlines how, where, who, and when we show up to communicate our corporate narrative, and take a leadership role in building out and sharing messaging with a broad community of IBMers (in communications and beyond)
Create the discipline, tools and processes to build out, update and communicate the calendar quickly and easily and tailor this to myriad audiences, inclusive of speaking engagements, issues management, enterprise storytelling, awards and announcement calendar.
Manage and track the corporate calendar of events, announcements, stories and industry awards submissions and automate how this is shared with our most senior executives, including the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
Lead the updates for key corporate documents: Board of Directors quarterly report for communications, the Week Ahead Note, Issues and Answers, and more.
Track, measure, and report accomplishments in narrative resonance, award impact, and lessons learned.
This role is located in IBM offices in either New York City or Armonk, NY.
Must have the ability to work in the US without current/future need for IBM sponsorship.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
7+ years experience in corporate communication and project management
Understanding of how communications works (the professional disciplines of external relations, crisis communication, speech writing, internal communications and what they need to do their jobs effectively)
Ability to evaluate processes and make recommendations on how to streamline and automate them (particularly speaker's bureau, corporate announcement and editorial calendars, briefing documents, issues management documents, etc.)
Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines, and able to influence outcomes
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Analytics, metrics and measurement experience
Degree in communications
