The Advanced Analytics Center of Competency is the top-of-the-spear of IBM’s consulting organization when it comes to Machine Learning and Big Data. As a member of our team you will get to work hands-on on the greatest and latest of Web, Machine Learning and Big Data technologies and build highly scalable machine learning solutions on the cloud.

The responsibilities include working with client executives (often at C-suite levels), defining key business problems, developing user stories and requirements, developing solution prototypes, collaborating as part of a consulting team in implementing the recommended solution, and finally developing analyzing/drawing conclusions and delivering solution and recommendations to client stakeholders.

Designated candidate will have an opportunity to build a powerful portfolio of interesting and rewarding experiences.

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about software development and consider themselves “Keyboard Ninjas”. The ideal candidate will have a high-level of control of Web development technologies along with at least one server side technology (Python, Java) using modern frameworks (AngularJS, Flask, Express) and deep knowledge in relational. No SQL databases and distributed systems.

  • When not traveling nationally and globally, resources in this team will report to work in the Armonk, NY and/or NYC area. Must be willing to travel up to 75%.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree

  • Minimal 2 years of experience as a full stack developer using modern technologies such as: AngularJS, ReactJS, NodeJS + Express, Python + Flash, MongoDB, MySQL, Java

  • Experience working in a development team and an agile environment

  • Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)

  • English: Fluent

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a full stack developer using modern technologies such as: AngularJS, ReactJS, NodeJS + Express, Python + Flash, MongoDB, MySQL, Java

  • 5+ years working in a development team and an agile environment

  • 3+ years in Algorithms/Mathematical/Data science

  • 3+ years with D3 and Leaflet.js

  • 3+ year developing in an enterprise production environment or for enterprise clients
