IBM Associate Partner - Cognitive Business Decision Support in New York, New York

Job Description

This Associate Partner (AP) role is responsible for successful solution and delivery of Cognitive Business Decision Support (CBDS) efforts, focused on advanced analytics for Distribution Sector clients covering Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods, and Travel & Transportation solutions and services, in a client consulting environment. The AP will identify gaps and best practices in technical landscape designs and develop solutions to integrate big data sources across legacy and IBM landscapes. In addition, the AP will play a strategic role in what applications are required, and will identify and define integration data points, process flows, data governance policies and systems that will drive customer engagement, data acquisition, preparation and predictive analytics and reporting, across the enterprise.

Specifically, the AP will:

  • Contribute to growth in IBM Global Business Services (GBS) new business, revenue and profit from Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), and Travel & Transportation companies using analytics and cognitive computing.

  • Identify and advance new business opportunities to closure.

  • Oversee Big Data, Date Warehouse, Business Intelligence, Data Integration, Enterprise Information Management, Master Data Management and/or Data Consolidation projects.

  • Build, grow, and steward client and business partner relationships.

  • Assist in assuring client satisfaction and maintaining a strong client relationship through delivery excellence.

  • Manage pre-sales activities, assessments and the delivery of these first-of-a-kind solutions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 3 years experience in Big Data and Advanced Analytics solutions

  • At least 5 years experience in Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and other Enterprise Information Management

  • At least 5 years experience in working in one ore more of the following industries - Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods, Travel & Transportation

  • At least 5 years experience in business development and C-suite relationship builder skills

  • At least 5 years experience in negotiating and selling consulting projects

  • At least 5 years experience in formal project management methodology

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • At least 5 years experience in Big Data and Advanced Analytics solutions

  • At least 7 years experience in Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and other Enterprise Information Management

  • At least 7 years experience in working in one ore more of the following industries - Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods, Travel & Transportation

  • At least 7 years experience in business development and C-suite relationship builder skills

  • At least 7 years experience in negotiating and selling consulting projects

  • At least 7 years experience in formal project management methodology
