Position Summary

Design and deliver healthcare analytic and consulting solutions, using current and emerging technologies/methodologies, to state Medicaid/Health and Human Services agencies in areas including state health policy and operations, Medicaid managed care, value-based purchasing, performance measurement, special need populations, and overall population health. Apply comprehensive knowledge of current and emerging industry trends and client decision support needs to lead the development and execution of replicable, high quality analytics and actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership on analytic and consulting projects and engage in billable consulting activity in partnership with client team members; ensure quality, on-time, on-budget deliverables.

  • Design and implement innovative analytic approaches that are efficient, scalable and replicable.

  • Manage evolving client expectations, needs and priorities, and collaborate with client team members to ensure effective integration with consulting and service delivery.

  • Assist with the development, documentation and presentation of results to clients; meet regularly in face-to-face meetings with client.

  • Provide subject matter expertise to support business development, including meeting with prospects and writing technical proposals.

  • Serve as an industry thought leader by speaking at industry conferences and training seminars, publishing blogs and white papers, etc.

  • Identify and nurture strategic partner relationships and opportunities for growth.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Required Skills And Experience

  • 10+ years experience in healthcare analysis and/or consulting, using advanced statistical analysis methods and metrics

  • 7+ years experience with Medicaid, Medicare, All Payer Claims Database or Commercial claims data

  • Understanding of the current health care environment and the implications of health policy changes and industry events on government client needs

  • Proven history of developing new and useful data-informed ways to support client decisions related to managing healthcare costs and quality

  • Ability to effectively partner, collaborate, and influence others in a highly matrixed and virtual organization

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Strong project management skills

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Preferred Skills And Experience

  • Experience with Medicaid managed care operations, financing, rate-setting

  • Experience with delivery and payment reform initiatives

  • Experience with Tableau or similar visualization tools using healthcare data
