Job Description

IBM Global Business Services is currently seeking an SAP High-performance Analytic Appliance (HANA) Technical Architect experienced in defining and leading HANA Basis projects. The SAP HANA Technical Architect is responsible for leading a team of technical resources and should work closely with the IT leaders both in-house and at customer sites. Individuals should also be capable of working independently to evangelize new solution architectures on HANA focused at catering to the unique requirements of customers. The HANA technical architect should also have proven capability of working with sales teams to drive growth initiatives in the HANA space and should provide strategic direction and long-term vision for the HANA investment; inspire creative solutions for maximizing the value contribution of that investment. The candidate should be able to communicate effectively with both business and IT leaders and have proven expertise in performing technical assessments, conducting planning sessions, defining technical road maps, creating Infrastructure design guidelines, and defining the strategic IT initiatives for the customers. The candidate should also exhibit effective leadership skills in growing a team of HANA Basis resources, participate in sharing his/her expertise on HANA at technical seminars, and be willing to drive HANA growth initiatives in the practice. The candidate should possess configuration and leadership skills in managing projects that include administration of SAP HANA, HANA Security Model Design, HANA Landscape Transformation Replication Server (SLT) Configuration, Installing HANA-Live, Business Warehouse (BW) and Suite on HANA Migrations, Integration with HCP, Smart Data Access and Hadoop, HANA Install, Sizing and configuration, and DynamicTiering.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 8 years of experience in SAP Basis installation and configuration

  • At least 3 years of experience in HANA Technical Consulting Skills as team member or team lead.

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • At least 12 years of experience in SAP Basis installation and configuration

  • At least 4 years of experience in HANA Technical Consulting Skills as team member or team lead.
