Working under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for managing the successful implementation of Watson Health Imaging solutions from initiation, planning and execution, through Go-Live and transition to service and support. The role will own the project and act as the point of contact for the project during the deployment process. The role will be responsible for coordinating resources and ensuring that both external and internal customer needs are satisfied with a successful completion of project deliverables.

Customer management skills – Ability to navigate complex organizational structures. Recognize the decision makers from the influencers. Able to recognize the key supporters from the key detractors and work their interpersonal approach appropriately. Balancing customer advocacy with business needs.
Salesmanship and Influence skills - Ability to sell customer on a concept or solution what balances those needs when the customer might believe otherwise. Ability to tell a customer when an ‘ask’ is out of scope while taking a “Yes and here’s how” rather than a “No and here is why not” approach. Business generation – ability to recognize the opportunity for add on product or services sales. Ability to position our capabilities in a way that generates interest with the customer and sets up the follow on sales steps.
Partner Management – ability to work with 3rd party vendors that balances responsibility within the account and accomplish the project objectives. Problem solving – Ability to breakdown problems into component steps, frame solution options, clearly articulate the tradeoffs in a concise manner, champion a recommendation, organize and lead a team to resolution.
Position Description :
Follow up and follow through – treat customer interactions with urgency, set deadlines, deliver on commitments.
Work with the sales team to understand customer’s specific needs and objectives Participate in pre-sales activities as needed
Manage knowledge transfer from Sales to the Implementation team
Provide documented project status to WHI leadership
Work directly with all departments within Watson Health Imaging as the customer advocate ensuring a clinical focus is brought to the development, sales, logistics and service processes
Work with management to develop and evolve processes/practices within the Implementation Team
Provide mentoring/training for other team members
Pursues a program of self-development through the use of selected reading, seminars, and participation in continuing education.
Identifies and communicates possible improvements in the work process for customers and peers.
Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management. Strong knowledge of appropriate “ology” workflow and the business of that “ology” required
Ability to present solutions to the Customer and “sell” WHI and our technical and clinical expertise.
Required skills and experience
Experience as a demonstrated project manager with oversight for large-scale or multiple time sensitive projects, ideally within the healthcare sector.
Project experiences should be 6+ month engagements, > USD 1M in value, highly visible internally and externally, crossing multiple clinical departments and engaging with IT.
Previous experience within clinical systems sector such as PACS/RIS, Enterprise Imaging, VNA, EMR/EPR Document Management etc desirable.
General IT knowledge in relation to delivery of IT projects.
Proven financial management of a project, management of a budget, milestones and forecasting.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and Microsoft Project. Strong organizational and written/verbal communications skills required
Ability to effectively plan and facilitate multi-disciplinary meetings and workgroups Exhibits a solid professional presence.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Is a self-motivated, results oriented individual
Strong understanding of business project management, process improvement, and change management principles, approaches and methodologies ' especially for clinically-related projects
Minimum Masters degree or comparable job experience in medical imaging or healthcare IT systems
