Work as a Cloud Lab Services Consultant in the definition and delivery of high quality solutions to clients in response to their business and technical requirements, from scope through to release. The primary requirement is to perform and lead technical tasks including product installation and configuration, development, testing and deployment, both individually and as a part of a larger IBM Cloud/Customer implementation team. You will be expected to troubleshoot and fix technical problems, liaise with product development and technical support to organise formal problem resolution if necessary.

There is a strong focus on customer satisfaction and team/personal reputation, and contributing to all forms of technical consulting activities including capturing common practices and helping to propagate those through creation of intellectual capital, redbooks and presentations both internally and to customers.

As a recent graduate you will be trained on the specific technologies and our approach to providing services to customers. For this, you will be supported by the existing team usually through a mix of buddying, mentoring and shadowing. The successful candidate will be motivated to learn and master the material and be ready to apply what they have learned on customer focussed projects.

In time you will be expected to assist the services and license sales team in pre-sales activities to assist in acquiring new business.

This is a customer facing role which involves travel throughout the UK and potentially across Europe.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Predicted a 2:1 Bachelor Degree or achieved

  • Technical Specialism

  • English: Fluent

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Information Technology

  • Understanding of Cloud

  • Knowledge of Cloud technology (e.g. Cloud Programming)
