Job Description

IBM Talent Acquisition is undergoing a huge transformation and we are looking for a Application Architect – AI & Cloud to join our CIO team to deliver on the Talent Acquisition vision.

Are you a thought leader who likes to figure out the best way to solve a problem especially in terms of application architecture and integrations. In this role you'll be the solution architect working with a CIO team supporting Talent Acquisition projects. As an experienced architect, you’ll be working to provide technical consultation to several projects in the HR Talent Acquisition space. We’re looking for an experienced and innovative architect who’s willing to guide technical team decisions, create prototypes using Cloud and AI technology and create integrations between solutions. Our ideal candidate should be structured, detail oriented, analytical, and driven to get things done.

  • Set technology direction for Cloud solutions

  • Specialties include data management, scripting languages, API and other integrations

  • Manage and implement integrations between internal and external solutions

  • Serves as the technical liaison to the Talent Acquisition product owner

  • Collaborate with domain architecture leadership

  • Author simple, clear requirements through user stories and technical specifications

  • A team player who also works well independently, thinks creatively and takes initiative

  • Comfortable with tight deadlines; organized, efficient, detail-oriented and able to multitask

  • Interpret and communication client requirements into deliverables

  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a dynamic, agile environment

Must have the ability to work in the US without current/future need for IBM sponsorship

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 4+ years professional experience in designing, deploying and maintaining IT solutions

  • Knowledge of SOAP API and/or REST API implementations

  • Experience with at client side programming language such as .NET, JAVA, PHP, Ruby, Visual Basic, Python, Node JS, Java Script, Angular 2

  • Knowledge of SQL and database technologies

  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and debug

  • Experience working in an Agile environment

  • Must understand ETL tools and how to implement integrations

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Familiarity with systems integrations, security standards such as TLS, SSL, data encryption

  • Understand the challenges related to data privacy and can guide the team

  • Strong business acumen in addition to technical

  • Passionate about Technology
