IBM Solution Manager in JOHANNESBURG, South Africa

Job Description

Responsibilities:

•Responsible for the development and selling of GTS solutions directly to clients both new logo or as part of an existing account team

•Responsible for overall Cost, Solution Quality and Deliverability

•Accountable for the overall success of the engagement

•Leads multiple discipline teams of subject-matter experts, using a combination of IBM standard and custom solutions

•Orchestrates the development of medium complexity, multiple year, custom solutions and associated cost cases, all with the goal to ensure consistent delivery of high quality services and/or solutions which meet client business and technical requirements and fulfil IBM's obligations

•Provides the foundation of the IBM solution that influences our sales teams, human resources, C&N and delivery strategies for the engagement

•Actively participates in the client proposal/responses and contract negotiations

•Acts as arbitrator (bridge) between Sales/Delivery/Competencies/Offerings

oLeading strategy development aimed at satisfying all parts of IBM and Client

oExplaining solution, risks and reasoning for costs

•Mitigates business and delivery RISK

Role Description:

•Responsible for the development of the best, cost effective, technically sound and deliverable technical GTS solutions

•Responsible for the overall success of the solution design and cost development in a technology specialty.

•Provide leadership and initiative to deliver new and/or complex high quality solutions to clients in response to varying business requirements

•Incorporate in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technology in conjunction with industry and business results

•Utilize a combination of IBM standard and custom solutions to develop solutions and associated cost cases

•Ensure consistent delivery of high quality solutions which meet client business and technical requirements that fulfill IBM's obligations

•Accountable for the technical solution design quality and success of the engagements assigned.

•Drive continuous improvement in Solution Design and influence the content of service products

•Participate in deal reviews and lessons learned.
