About the Business Unit

Transformation & Operation:

The IBM Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) organization spans several functional areas such as procurement, manufacturing, demand-supply planning, manufacturing engineering, logistics, customer fulfillment, accounts receivable collection and sales transaction support.

Who you are:

As a E Sourcing Specialist you will be responsible for creating RFP summary sheet and send it to sourcing team for review.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with client stakeholders in determining RFP requirement

  • Work with business and technical teams to obtain required inputs

  • Work with sourcing buyer to obtain RFP strategy

  • Laise with business for any questions from vendors

  • Add new vendors on the RFP tool

  • Create RFP in the tool as defined by the clients with weights assigned to specific scoring criteria

  • Tool Sourcing Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IBM’s buyers to execute RFx events and Reverse Auctions (RA)

  • Provide technical expertise of Tool Sourcing and its capabilities, best practices and strategy

  • Set up and execute complex RFx events on behalf of buyers

  • Provide training and assistance to the suppliers and buyers as needed

  • Provide assistance to analyze the results using Tool Sourcing reports or scenario analysis

  • Determine if situation is appropriate for reversed auction, utilizing best practices for auction type and parameters

  • Provide guidance to buyers on overall RFP process and share best practices

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Sourcing Buyer experience

  • Tool Sourcing experience

  • Proven Microsoft Excel skills

  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills

  • Capable of leading and coaching others in the procurement sourcing process

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Proven Communication Skills

  • Vendor Management
