Essential Responsibilities

This position is a senior technical position responsible for design and implementation of Oracle/PLSQL-based software solutions. The focus will be on learning, maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the data factory for the Consumer products as well as our data publishing systems.

We work with the following tools in our Java-based organization, so at least 1 year of experience with each of these is desirable:

  • Rally

  • Git

  • Linux as a target platform; Windows as a development environment

  • Eclipse IDE

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5 - 10+ years PL/SQL programming experience

  • 5 - 10+ years experience with Oracle. Experience with Exadata, Oracle 12, Oracle RAC

  • 5 - 10+ years experience developing commercial software applications in a structured environment

  • Experience with parallel pipeline functions

  • Experience with performance tuning queries and PL/SQL procedures

  • Experience with processing large volumes of data

  • Experience with database design

  • Java programming experience is a plus

  • Strong design, documentation, coding, and testing skills

  • Drives for results with limited supervision

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, especially Scrum

  • Working across organizations to coordinate implementation of solutions

  • Exceptional communication skills within and across departments

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

• Java programming experience

• Experience with developing and maintaining a test bed

• Experience with Healthcare application development

• Understanding of Healthcare terminology and claims processing
