IBM MEA Travel & Transport (T&T) Industry Leader in DUBAI, United Arab Emirates

Job Description

The incumbent in this MEA leadership role needs to have a thorough understanding of the Travel and Transport (T&T) Industry with a strong consulting/TL and airlines, ports and transport background to deliver on the IBM MEA Industry Strategy and attainment of Industry targets in MEA. The suitable candidate must be senior and adept to lead a team and personally identify, validate and progress the IBM Industry Solutions portfolio in the defined list of Growth and new logo accounts, delivering an annual signings target of $8m. The person needs to have knowledgeable in the trends and directions of the T&T industry and a detailed understanding of the MEA T&T landscape, with the associated senior level stakeholder relationships. The person needs to have a strong point of view around the strategic transformation opportunities in the major travel hubs across MEA – Adu Dhabi, Dubai, SA, East Africa and Turkey.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise



Professional knowledge related to incumbent's department or function.

Strong Industry domain knowledge, consultative solutions experience and strong technology background, especially around cloud, digital transformation, supply chain optimization, Asset management, big data analytics and blockchain


Engaged as an independent professional. Ability to articulate and compare alternatives approaches. Negotiate with specified objectives. Active on social media and recognized as a Banking Thought Leader

Recognize problems related to project objectives. Creativity and judgment applied to professional technical, or operational problems. Independently generates solutions, based on analytical skills & business knowledge. Challenge the validity of given procedures and processes to enhance and improve or develop complementary adjustments /solutions.
