Job Description

You are collaborative, knowledgeable, strategic, and have strong technology acumen. Combined with your deep expertise in field marketing, you should be able to leverage your product expertise and balance thinking strategically with your ability to execute quickly.

As an IBM Systems NA Field Marketing Manager, you must have a deep understanding of markets and buyers to plan, organize, and execute programs that generate new prospects and advance existing opportunities for the sales team.

You will work across teams and business units to successfully position IBM servers and storage in key cross IBM category and industry narratives and campaigns. You will act as a liaison between marketing, business partners, field sales, business development, and demand functions. working in a fast paced environment managing multiple projects.

You will work with:

  • NA Systems and Market Sales

  • WW and NA product marketing

  • NA Business partner and channels

  • NA category, industry and profession marketing teams.

  • NA demand generation and events

  • Sales enablement

  • Marketing communications and operations

Your responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the market opportunity by category, industry and segment.

  • Leveraging created product positioning to create unique value propositions

  • Developing and implementing target account strategies and pipeline acceleration programs

  • Engaging with colleagues to coordinate, communicate and optimize impact of marketing activities

  • Educating the sales team regarding marketing activities

  • Live events included as tactics in the overall marketing mix

  • Creation of content in support of the client journey delivered through digital and face to face channels.

  • Defining and driving customer retention, limiting customer attrition and improving NPS values.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 8+ years of B2B marketing experience

  • At least 4 years of field marketing experience

  • Proven experience working with sales teams and supporting programs to drive awareness and sales

  • Inbound marketing strategy and/or execution experience

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Technology industry marketing experience

  • Sales experience
