IBM Security Cloud is the new cloud platform for IBM Security that will enable faster innovation, integration and time to market for our product development teams. IBM Security Cloud will provide a consolidated approach to how we deliver our SaaS solutions to the market, in a unified, consistent and simplified approach, making it easier for our clients to try, use and acquire our technology solutions.
In the security space in general, market's shift and evolve quickly. Technologies or capabilities that are sometimes seen as emerging markets get pulled into an already pre-existing market. This creates the issue for our clients having multiple product platforms that require significant services to integrate and achieve the value they need. IBM Security Cloud solves that issue through something called "Composable Security" Composable Security allows us (IBM Security and our partners) to develop security applications focused on solving specific security challenges for our clients, but also to bring those applications together in a flexible, integrated way to adapt quickly to changes in the market. This is referred to as a "solution". Solutions are made up of multiple applications, developed by different teams delivered on ISC.
Solutions Architect Responsibilities
The ISC Solution Architect will be responsible for ensuring that as product teams develop new applications and bring them to IBM Security Cloud that we are thinking through how the new applications relate to and should integrate with the platform, as well as all the other relevant applications already delivered (or being developed) on ISC. The Solution Architect will lean upon their experience of IT Security, Customer Experience, Client Problems, etc. to ensure that a holistic approach is taken when considering an end to end use cases and workflows relative to a particular solution.
The ISC Solutions Architect will ensure the appropriate level of collaboration between Product/Offering Managers, Architects, Design, development and sponsor clients around an ISC solution in order to achieve an out of the box, integrated experience that is consistent with IBM Security Cloud Design, Architecture and Offering principles and that addresses the needs of a particular security market, client challenge.
When applicable, the ISC Solutions Architect will work with offering and development teams outside of IBM Security (such as hybrid cloud, and cloud security teams) in order aid in the definition of cross-brand initiatives relative to security (Example, bringing together ITOPS and SecOPS use cases on ISC).
The ISC Solution Architect will be a key member of the ISC offering team, helping to align teams with ISC initiatives and developing a roadmap & pipeline of new applications and solutions that will be delivered from ISC.
