The Platform Services Leader is responsible for the timely and accurate connection, curation and transformation of Healthcare provider and payer data into the VBC Platform. The VBC Platform enables healthcare systems to collect, link, and combine data from hundreds of disparate sources across their enterprise and clinically integrated networks. These data sources span all the major types including clinical, claims, billing, accounting, device, community, and patient derived. You’re the one that leads the team that collects, links and combines this disparate healthcare data to unlock insights and value for our clients.
The right leader needs to be able set and achieve goals that will perform at a global scale. Leading effectively in order to contribute to the delivery of high quality healthcare services while meeting and, whenever possible, exceeding operational and fiscal objectives. This position is responsible for direction and management of the daily operations and delivery of platform services.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Direct and manage the planning, development, integration and implementation of platform services and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) programs.
Transform the organization and process into the industry leading data curation process delivering the highest quality data while reducing the overall time to value.
Grow to a global scale allowing other Watson Health offerings to leverage this process
Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of data curation, analysis, healthcare and clinical measures, and productivity of the team. Must be willing to take full ownership and be accountable to all aspects.
Advise senior leadership in the data produced and recommendations for future improvements.
Ensure a customer connected environment is maintained at all times establishing proactive and comprehensive monitoring and alerting
Recruit, retain and develop quality staff so that a positive working environment is maintained which fosters personal achievement and good morale. Provide feedback on performance on an ongoing basis and performance.
Understand healthcare dynamics and be ready to deliver emerging and evolving standards
Sets the organization tone and culture to build a team that achieves their best daily, learns quickly and strives to ensure tomorrow’s execution always improves.
Provide oversight and act as IBM Watson Health Cleveland site leader.
Proven Skills and Abilities:
Proven analytical and problem-solving capability.
Proven ability to reduce time to revenue and improve quality.
Experience with system implementation and complex project plans.
Experience explaining the mechanics of complex analysis and results with clarity and transparency to senior executives and clients
Ability to connect financial results to operational processes.
Able to maintain organizational skills and adaptability in a change oriented environment.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels within the organization.
Ability to dive into the details with teams and surface root cause and solution focused improvement efforts.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 10 years experience in leadership and coaching
At least 5 years experience in development, delivery, and support of client facing solutions, ideally in the health care field.
At least 5 years experience in quality metrics, scheduling and complex system implementations
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
