i2 Intelligence SME (Technical Presales)

The i2 Intelligence Subject Matter Expert (SME) has responsibility for supporting sales through articulating and demonstrating solution value to accelerate IBM’s market share in the Intelligence, Security, and Threat Hunting markets. This includes all elements of industry sales support including understanding the market and competitive intelligence.

Hands-on experience as an analyst in the Federal, Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Justice (DOJ), Government, or Intelligence Community (IC) is highly preferred. Experience performing link analysis, network analysis, or graph analysis is keenly desired. A security clearance is clearly preferred. A technical degree and experience coding or scripting, with sharp IT skills, will help accelerate success.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as SME and technical expert to support sales based on a demonstrated understanding of the Intelligence market and customer needs.

  • Support opportunities through business proposals and business cases related to Intelligence products.

  • Work closely with a cross functional matrixed team of marketing, sales, services, and engineering, to ensure business and product strategy execution is tightly coordinated to support Intelligence offerings.

  • Understand other IBM solutions inside of IBM Security.

  • Be the subject matter expert for all audiences (internal and external) around intelligence solutions, intelligence analysis best practices and competition.

Attributes:

  • Hands on experience with i2 Analyst's Notebook (ANB) or i2 Enterprise Insight Analysis (EIA), Palantir, or similar analysis platforms in a DOD, IC, or Federal capacity.

  • Analysis in an investigative, operation or hybrid environment.

  • Ability to understand different data sources and concepts (intelligence disciplines) used by analysts. The ability to fuse data and intelligence.

  • Able to work with large data sets and transform them in ways that are better suited for analysis, and to extract meaningful information.

  • Ability to model and analyze threat vectors (physical, cyber and other) and be able to correlate data from intelligence domains to analyze, extract insight and draw conclusions.

  • Demonstrated industry knowledge of intelligence and intelligence analysis. Knowledge of the market, tools, and solutions. Knowledge of how customers are organized and how this affects purchasing and decision making

  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills with an ability to express complex business and technical concepts in simple forms of value proposition to clients. Expert briefing skills.

  • Ability to translate high level market requirements into detailed solution requirements to define solutions against customer intelligence and threat hunting needs.

  • Ability to translate technical value into business value

  • Familiarity with enterprise software systems and their deployment

  • Self-starter and confident to be the leader of your domain and ability to set and achieve realistic goals.

  • Comfortable relating, to analysts on best practices and best applications of technology.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Programming experience, including Extract Transform And Load (ETL)

  • Strong systems integration experience

  • English: Fluent

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in an intelligence environment

  • Clearance, Prefer Top Secret (TS) or Top Secret - Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)

  • Experience supporting warfighters or decision makers through actionable intelligence cycles
