The DataWarehouse/Big Data Architect must be an expert software engineer with strong skills in data modelling & design, data warehouse systems and high availability databases (Oracle, DB2, Teradata, Hadoop, Vertica).

Adept at understanding complex concepts and communicating them to diverse teams.
Strong written and oral communicator with good presentation skills.
Demonstrable experience of successfully implementing data warehouse solutions in an Agile / Dev Ops software delivery lifecycle.
Good functional understanding of Telecommunication industry
Degree or Masters qualified in a technology, mathematical, science or engineering domain.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Strong ‘hands-on’ experience as a Data Warehouse /Bog Data rchitect with a solid design/development background with Informatica/Spark
Experience of delivering data analytics projects and architecture guidelines.
Experience with big data solutions on premises and on the cloud (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
Production project experience with at least one of the Data Warehouse/Big Data technologies
Batch processing: Hadoop and MapReduce / Spark / Hive
NoSQL databases: Cassandra / HBase / Accamulo / Kudu
Knowledge of Agile Development methodology, SCRUM in particular..
Practical experience in performance tuning and optimisation, bottleneck problem analysis.
Understanding of data modelling challenges and techniques in an enterprise environment.
Background in traditional Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence stacks including:
Experience in Linux based environments
Stream processing: Kafka / Flink / Spark Streaming / Storm
