Job Description

IBM is seeking a data-driven individual with a hunger for innovation to join our Security digital team as a Paid Media Specialist . In your role, you will serve as a paid media subject matter expert, providing leadership and strategic guidance. You will work closely with our senior paid media specialists as well as business segment leaders to drive business results. Partner with our agency execution partner as they manage, optimize, and provide analysis of our paid media campaigns. This role will also serve as the focal for communication between the Worldwide media team and marketers globally.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain effective paid media strategies in collaboration with the WW and local marketing teams and our agency partner to drive business results

  • Develop strategic partnerships with outside vendors to implement and optimize media tactics that best serve our business goals

  • Manage agency and IBM partners for daily execution and optimization of paid media campaigns, including but not limited to webinars, content syndication and third-party branding opportunities

  • Develop creative strategies to help drive lead generation and lower funnel marketing tactics

  • Conduct measurable tests and pilots to increasing impact & conversion

  • Maintain relationships with media vendors to test new-to-market tactics

  • Oversee fulfillment of responses and work with internal teams to ensure leads are successfully received

  • Support digital seller enablement and nurture campaigns to ensure content/journey matches intention/objective

  • Manage campaign financials, including invoice reviews/approvals

  • Coordinate with local market counterparts to review WW and local media plans/performance to ensure synergy and mutual learning

  • Maintain community to keep local markets informed of plans, changes, best practices, POVs, etc

This position must be based out of our Austin, TX or Cambridge, MA offices*

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 2+ years of experience in paid media with a demonstrable record of increasing ad spend efficiency, click through conversions, and ROI metrics.

  • Experience working with teams across multiple countries

  • Experience buying, managing, and optimizing paid media campaigns (in-platform experience preferable)

  • Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Experience working collaboratively with marketing colleagues

  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical audience

  • English fluency

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Solution-focused and takes initiative to work effectively and efficiently within established guidelines

  • Proven ability to work independently, collaboratively within a team environment and with colleagues spread across multiple geos

  • Experience in demand generation, B2B, and the tech space (specifically Security) all a plus but not required

  • Expert skills in Excel, PPT a plus
