IBM Client Innovation Center in Baton Rouge has an immediate opportunity for an experienced, forward thinking SAP TM Consultant with a passion for growth and innovation. Join our team and utilize leading-edge technology to configure, develop, deliver and support applications for our clients. Our clients are some of the world’s leading companies and the candidate will be a part of challenging projects to build and support technical solutions for their needs. The SAP TM Consultant is responsible for successful delivery of Transportation Management (TM) module deliverables on SAP engagements, including implementation, upgrade, and/or extension of existing applications. The consultant assists clients in the selection, implementation and support of SAP solutions which include design, configuration, and testing. The consultant will provide functional and business process expertise on a project team which generally consists of consultants, subcontractors, remote global resources, and client employees.

As an SAP consultant, the candidate will deliver innovative business consulting, business process design, systems integration, and application design and management to leading commercial and public sector organizations worldwide. The IBM Client Innovation Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our Baton Rouge, LA center. However, some travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. The candidate is expected to travel approximately 50% of the time. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site (Monday thru Friday). You are expected to travel up to 50% of the time. No remote opportunities exist.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 5 years of experience in SAP TM configuration

  • At least 2 full life cycle project implementation experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with details requirements gathering

  • Experience with post production support

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • At least 6 years of experience in SAP TM configuration

  • At least 3 full life cycle project implementation experience

  • At least 1 full life cycle project implementation, experience as a Team Lead on SAP engagements implementing the SAP TM module
