As an Material Master Data Conversion Analyst you will be responsible for the end to end coordination of onshore and offshore teams to design, build, test and deploy material master conversions including basic data and extensions, classes and characteristics. It requires the resource to provide guidance on conversion specification standards to functional owners, and to technically review and approve the final conversion specifications. The resource will then be required to work with the offshore team to support building and unit testing the conversion. During the design, build and testing this resource will be required to provide the team SAP technical guidance and to resolve complex issues during development, testing and deployment. After build and testing are complete, resource will be required to coordinate conversions during mock cycle testing, dry runs and cutover including conducting technical validation, raising defects, triaging defects and managing the analysis and resolution of associated testing defects. This role will also be required to analyze and solution conversion defects raised during system and integration testing.
Successful candidates for these positions will work onsite at the IBM Client Innovation Center in Baton Rouge. The IBM Client Innovation Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our Baton Rouge, LA center. However, some travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs. Travel expectations are approximately 50%. No remote opportunities exist. The IBM Client Innovation Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our Baton Rouge center. However, some travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site (Monday thru Friday). You are expected to travel up to 50% of the time. This is a traditional office position. You must live in, or be willing to relocate to, Louisiana. The work location is 100 North Street Baton Rouge, LA 70802. This is not a work from home position.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in SAP Material Master
SAP Ascendant Methodology expertise
Experience designing conversion specifications
Must have strong communication skills that allow you to work with both functional and offshore development teams
Experience posting/debugging IDOCs, building, testing and debugging BDC programs, BAPI/Functional Modules, and Batch Input/LSMW is also necessary
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Experience with Configuration of BODS
Exposure to the Oil and Gas Industry
Experience in complex SAP environments supporting multiple components
Experience in Sol Man
