Who You Are.

As an WCS Architect, You will...

  • Participate in the Consulting Services sales process including preparing accurate estimates for the Statement of Work (SOW)

  • Identify project resource requirements and required skills for project success

  • Mentor the functional and technical consultants on an engagement

  • Be acting as the client liaison with Product Management / Engineering for developing custom client solutions

  • Provide feedback to Product Management / Engineering on product roadmap

  • Participating in Engineering design reviews for new product versions and designing future product functionality into active engagements

  • Provide understanding of system constraints and performance implications and can characterize the solution holistically.

What You Will Do

As an WCS Architect, You will...

  • Define the solution technical design for solution hardware and software, hardware and software configurations, product extensions, interfaces, etc.

  • Provide product implementation expertise including system architecture design, application functionality and design, development, testing, and deployment

  • Be Communicating all project issues related to system architecture design, application design, development, testing, and deployment

  • Be Reviewing and delivering on-time and high-quality project deliverables

  • Conduct QA reviews of custom developed code to ensure overall quality and compliance with the Sterling Commerce development framework

  • Perform solution architecture audits

  • Drive the estimating effort for Statement of Work related to Customer Enhancement Services.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 10 to 14 years of IT experience working with Java/J2EE technologies. With a minimum of 5-8 years of demonstrated experience in WebSphere Commerce.

  • Experience in architecture, installation, administration, and troubleshooting Websphere Application Server ND v7.x and v8.x environments

  • Experience inarchitecture, administration, and troubleshooting Websphere Commerce Server v6.x, x7.x environments

  • Proven experience in JSP, EJB, Struts, AJAX, Dojo, WebServices, BOD framework/Component Services, Dataload, etc.

  • Proven knowledge in Software development cycle and UI development

  • Good communication (verbal and written) and comfortable taking initiative and handling multiple projects simultaneously

  • Demonstrated ability to understand business operations/processes and translation of them into technical solutions

  • Experience working with IBM WebSphere Commerce complementary products:BEA Weblogic, IBM WebSphere, WebMethods, Cognos, JMS compliant queues (MSMQ, WebLogic JMS)

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Communicate all project issues related to system architecture design, application design, development, testing, and deployment.

  • Reviewing and delivering on-time and high quality project deliverables.
