Who you are :

The Financial Analyst (FA) role is an extremely robust finance portfolio, which requires very detailed financial knowledge, clear conceptual understanding of F&A concepts, analytical abilities and eye for details.

What you’ll do :

• Analyze financial data by collecting, monitoring and creating financial models

• Identify opportunities to maximize revenue and profit

• Contract forecasting and budgeting (revenue and cost)

• Variance analysis of actuals vs forecast, forecast vs plan etc

• Understand the existing work flow and explore possibilities of process improvements

• Make financial presentations to business and finance executives

• Support clients across Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and North America.

  • Working time slots depends on the role and Business Unit supported and may start as early as 5 AM IST (for Australian clients) or as late as 5 PM IST (for North American clients) with other time zone dependent stakeholders in between.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Accounting Domain (FP&A) / Record to Report (R2R) / General Ledger (GL)

  • Good understanding of Finance and Accounting (F&A) concepts

  • Accruals and deferrals of both revenue and cost

  • Journal entries

  • Types of book keeping – matching concept

  • Types of financial statements (Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet etc.)

  • Difference between forecast and budget

  • Advanced understanding of Finance and Planning (F&P) concepts

  • Revenue and cost recognition concepts

  • Provide prospective finance solutions to different finance scenarios presented in the interview

  • Show conceptual understanding of reading and comprehending financial statements

  • Demonstrate with examples of forecasting and budgeting from the previous role.

  • Have at least 2-4 years of relevant Finance and Planning (F&P) experience

  • Proven business Communication skills

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel
