Business Unit Introduction:

Chief Information Office (CIO) Business Transformation and Information Technology is a cross-functional organization acting as an IT partner to various IBMs Business in creating a single Enterprise Integration and Governance Model, while accelerating the delivery of business value, improving service quality, simplifying BT/IT processes and delivering operational efficiency.

Who you are :

As a DB2 Developer Build and manage using DB2 database, automated data extracts from source systems using DataStage / SQL. Automate internal scoring processes. Take care of any changes to the schema, tables, views and maintain the database.

What you’ll do :

As a DB2 Developer you will;

  • Develop and document database schema to store complex data sets.

  • Work directly with software developers and DBA to develop the database back-end for the software application.

  • Developing SQL statements, triggers, stored procedures, and data extraction routines to import/export data from the repositories.

  • Implement or maintain data integrity, error handling and performance tuning in support of all applications and database environments

  • Creating technical design documents and use case documents based on the functional requirements.

  • Conduct walk through session with all stakeholders and get necessary sign-offs.

  • Coordinate within team about the changes and take ownership to the modules assigned.

  • Support QA testing and resolve defects within SLA.

  • Propagate changes from lower region to production region.

  • Ensure that development, QA and Production systems are available and in the correct configuration with the correct data for standard Development / QA / Production life cycle. This includes taking an active role in the DevOps of these environments

  • Understanding the functional requirements and developing/enhancing the application programs in systems as required.

  • Work in an agile continuous build environment.

  • Manage all database maintenance activities including backups, indexing, integrity and consistency checking.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 3+years’ experience in SQL development DB2.

  • Hands on experience in writing store procedures, functions, and creating packages.

  • Should have worked on optimizing large complicated SQL statements.

  • Experience in writing complex SQL queries and pivot queries.

  • Experience in SQL performance Tuning

  • Knowledge of Java interface, Data science is an added advantage

  • Should have experience in writing the Internal / External Store procedures

  • Proven soft skills, people management and leadership skills

  • Ability to pick up new areas and work on a Consultant Profile as well.

  • Able to guide a team of lesser experienced professionals
