The Application Development team is responsible for supporting the full life cycle of enhancements. As an Application Developer your responsibilities include -

  • Work effectively individually and with team members toward customer satisfaction and success

  • Assist in creating solutions for client and/or internal review

  • Participate in client meetings to communicate status or give demos

  • Participate in daily code reviews to offer insight and ask questions

  • Be keenly aware of timelines and budgeting to deliver in a timely manner

  • Abide by team coding standards, development processes and best practices

To ensure success in the role you will possess the following skills –

  • Solid IBM IIB skills and experience are ESSENTIAL

  • Experience of support process to handle Incident, problem, change and release Management.

  • Experience in handling escalation & coordination with involved teams in case of any outages

  • Sound experience of IBM IIB & for integration patterns such as Web-Service, File, MQ, DB, TCP/IP, JMS

  • Strong knowledge on WESP, WSP, DFDL, XSLT, ESQL, GlobalCache, Record-Replay and using of using SOAP and REST, MQs protocol using IBM IIB/WMB

  • Troubleshooting the broker performance issues related to memory utilisation, CPU utilisation, java Heap etc.

  • Knowledge of managing enterprise-wide and highly available clustered WebSphere MQ, WebSphere Message Broker.

  • Administration tasks like un-deploying brokers components, Configure Message broker/IIB with database like Oracle, Db2, Microsoft SQL, creating and configuring Brokers, Execution groups, Message node properties, etc.

  • Solid client facing experience and strong communication experience are essential

  • Mandatory Requirement:

  • Must be an Australian citizen

  • Must be a resident in Australia for the past 5 years (i.e. cannot have moved to Australia only 4 or 4.5 years ago)

  • Must not have spent greater than 12 months cumulative out of Australia during the past 5 years

  • Must satisfy an AU Government Client Pre-Engagement Integrity Check

  • Must be eligible to obtain an AGSVA Baseline security clearance, or already hold AGSVA baseline security clearance

As this role is based in Ballarat, Victoria, relocation support will be considered for interstate applicants who are interested in moving to Ballarat to join our team.
