IBM Watson Health - Strategic Partnership Executive - GHHS in Austin, Texas

Job Description

IBM Watson Health needs a solution-oriented, consultative individual to recruit, develop, and enable key partners in the Government Health and Human Services (GHHS) space. The Strategic Partnership Executive will be responsible for managing all aspects of the partnership including the business and growth strategy, aligning our solutions and services to their strategic needs and initiatives, guiding a cross-functional team in a matrix environment supporting delivery, offering management, member engagement, service and support. The Strategic Partnership Executive will be responsible for coordinating teams and subject matter experts from across the organization to help grow our business and enable the transformational strategy of the client and must be proficient on industry trends and our solution portfolio across Watson Health.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Establish and cultivate strategic C-level relationships across the client organization and their membership and understand all facets of the client’s business and expectations

  • Develop and execute the growth strategy of the partnership by delivering key presentations and proposals at all levels within the partner organization

  • Develop strategic customer program plans and lead cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed environment to execute those plans

  • Align full portfolio of Watson Health Government solutions and services to the client’s strategic initiatives to drive continued value, including Analytics (Truven), Social Program Management, and Watson Care Manager

  • Collaborative effectively with internal teams (such as Sales Team, Offering Management, Analytics & Informatics, Watson Health Consulting, and Delivery Teams) to develop strategies for advancing client relationships and business growth

  • Build and cultivate referenceable testimonies and case studies throughout the integrated client partnership

  • Strategically partner with Offering Management to ensure that our solution and offering roadmap is innovatively addressing the unique needs of the partnership to include acceleration of cognitive enabled solutions aligned to high-value client use cases that have broad based employer market potential beyond the partnership

  • Prepare, plan and facilitate executive quarterly updates between the senior leadership of the partnership and our executive team

  • In collaboration with the service delivery team, ensure stringent accountability and management of commitments to solution delivery

  • Proactively identify risks to the relationship or business and develop mitigation plans to address

  • Lead efforts to develop a long-term business pipeline and ensure IBM is aligned to coming market trends and opportunities

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare business development, consulting, sales, or strategic client management related roles

  • 5+ years experience working with or selling to Federal or State and Local Governments

  • Proven executive level written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamically changing environment and manage a complex decision-making enterprise

  • Proven history of meeting and exceeding growth goals

  • Deep expertise in Healthcare applied in the management of complex relationships, operations, or business development

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Strong understanding of the Social Programs market and needs
