Role & Responsibility Summary:
Digital Strategist: You are a proven Digital Strategist who is creative, collaborative, and has a passion for digital marketing. You are comfortable facing challenges where the answer is not readily visible and you thrive in a collaborative environment, working across teams to achieve the best outcome. We are looking for an innovative thinker with experience in developing integrated digital campaigns that attract new customers, cross-sell to existing customers, and progresses pipeline to deliver outstanding results.
The Digital Strategist will lead the creation of integrated digital experiences to drive awareness and demand for the Hybrid Data Management portfolio worldwide. As a member of the Performance Marketing team the Strategist will be part of co-located teams focused on innovative approaches and best practices; leveraging data and analytics to more effectively drive continuous improvement. The candidate is required to work with product, content, digital, and social teams, as well as user experience and market insights professionals to develop an integrated strategy that engages the target audience and ensure the marketing objectives are strategically aligned across the buyers’ journey.
The strategy and execution of the end-to-end digital experience both on and off domain.
The strategist will act as the steward of Hybrid Data Management’s digital ecosystem and will focus on increasing search ranking, traffic, engaged traffic, and digital pipeline and revenue
Drive continuous innovation to deliver a best in class experience for our users grounded in a deep understanding of the market and client, superior design and the latest technology
Understanding and continuously monitoring search, competitive activity, digital KPIs and data from testing, to take action and drive continuous optimization
Strategize and execute in tight partnership with SEM, Social Media, Content Marketing, Paid Media and Campaign Management to increase traffic, engagement and conversion
Stay informed on the latest digital marketing strategy and trends, user experience design, and digital tooling to continuously inform and update Hybrid Data Management’s experience
Liaise and partner with other Business Units across IBM to ensure the appropriate linkage happens, and that the customer experiences a seamless ecosystem
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
2+ years of experience as a Digital Strategist, Information Architect, User Experience Designer or any other role which involves strategizing and architecting user experience design for high-traffic, complex digital properties.
Strong knowledge of user-centered design and HCI principles.
Expert understanding of web metrics, digital media testing methodology and optimization strategies.
Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Strong written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to closely collaborate as a part of a team comprised of business, creative and technical types.
Strong project manager with the ability to meet expectations on time and on budget.
Ability to articulate and present ideas based on sound user experience and interaction design principles.
Proficiency in all MS Office applications required.
Clear understanding of search engine marketing and applying SEO best practices.
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Digital agency experience is a plus.
IBM Coremetrics and/or Google Analytics experience.
Hands-on experience managing paid media campaigns.
Knowledge of Adobe creative software required
Experience writing web copy.
Must be comfortable and very familiar with html and web content management systems.
