Job Description

The System Engineer assists in the End to End (ETE) delivery of high quality client solutions in response to specific business needs. The System Engineer has strong technical skills and absorbs complex business and technical knowledge quickly, performs assigned technical tasks such as modeled based system engineering, analytics, problem solving, and technical artifact development and quality assessments. The System Engineer is an expert in the execution of the System Engineering discipline across the full software delivery life cycle, and has specific product, technology, or industry-related specialized skills. Strong client facing and proposal development skills, requirements management at all levels, design development, risk mitigation, data analysis are key required skills. May use tools to analyze and implement portions of a customer solution.

As an individual contributor or member of a team, performs a technical role in support of ETE technical solutions, from requirement gathering and analysis through solution development, test and deployment. This includes translating the Customer’s business requirements into specific system, application or process designs for large, complex or leading edge solutions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience working with multiple operating systems (AIX, UNIX, LINUX): 10-15 years.

  • Experience in Telecommunications industry: 10 or more years.

  • Knowledge of AT&T processes and applications: 10-15 years

  • Experience with Weblogic and Websphere configuration and tuning: 10-15 years

  • Experience using Introscope tools: 10-15 years

  • Experience working with Oracle and Sybase databases: 10 or more years

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
