As a consultative, client facing sales professional, you will be guided by IBM's purpose - to be essential to our clients - actively engaging clients to develop the trust and credibility to help them grow their cloud and cognitive businesses by solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM's proven cognitive and cloud technology solutions.
We are seeking high energy, high performance individuals interested in making an impact selling to the HyperScale, Cloud Service Provider (CSP) and As-a-Service client segments.
The successful candidate will be able to work at all levels within the client enterprise, from the most senior to their storage architects, while leading a virtual team of IBMers to unite to create the demand for our products and offerings, and, where needed, transform our offering to suit the client unique environment. A balance of both technical and business skills, coupled with proven leadership is expected.
Lead Sales of IBM’s cold storage offerings in current and new markets for HyperScale and Cloud Services. In this role you will become the subject matter expert for this offering and collaborate with Offering Management, Support and Development to represent the solution across clients through the Software Defined Solutions sales teams. This position will be part of an Segment aligned high performance sales team selling IBM Tape Systems select verticals.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum of 5 years selling IT systems (storage, networking, servers)
Working knowledge of project management principles
2-3 years of experience selling scale out computing and software defined infrastructure solutions.
Working knowledge and or experience selling Storage Solutions experience
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
At least (5) years calling on HyperScale clients
5 years of experience selling Enterprise Tape Solutions
Experience positioning container technologies and understanding of big data and next generation workloads, such as Spark.
Experience with competitive tape systems (Oracle, Quantum, SpectraLogic)
Working knowledge of unique attributes of HyperScale client deployments
5 years of experience leading a cross-functional teams
