IBM Offering Manager in Armonk, New York

Job Description

We are looking for an Offering Manager to lead and collaborate with cross-discipline teams on development, design, marketing, communications and sales to deliver the most innovative offerings to our clients for the IBM Aspera streaming product line. The successful Offering Manager must possess a unique blend of business and technical acumen and must have the ability to innovate with established & emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will love talking to customers regularly to find out what they need, but also to keep a firm pulse on where the industry is trending. Key success metrics include meeting revenue targets for the product and portfolio, signings, market share, and customer satisfaction .

  • Create the business product strategy for the streaming product line

  • Define product requirements documents based on an intimate knowledge of the specific market segments, target customers, and technology capabilities

  • Work with technical teams as the business stakeholder to enable components of the business strategy which require software development to implement

  • Responsible for the go-to-market plan and enablement, working to insure that sales, marketing, partners and support teams have what they need to be successful

  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Aspera products in the applicable markets, including M&E, Government, Healthcare, Financial Services, etc.

  • Conduct sales enablement, communicating the value proposition and other related aspect of the products to core Aspera channels (direct, indirect, and partner channel)

  • Work closely with sales to identify needs and gaps in order for them to effectively sell in the applicable sectors.

  • Prepare and lead Analyst discussions including positioning, messaging and product direction

  • Provide sales support for Aspera channels (direct, indirect, partner and self-serve channels)

  • Drive competitive analysis to support the Aspera channels

  • Lead efforts around the creation of product demonstrations and sales assets.

  • Understand key market problems that drive value for our customers and our differentiation

  • Present Aspera‚Äôs capabilities to clients and work directly with sponsor clients to shape the offering.

Location - Emeryville, LA, Boston, NYC, Atlanta

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 5 years experience in a product management role or equivalent

  • Experience with or knowledge of Pragmatic Marketing or Agile practices would be an asset

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Self-starter with strong leadership skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent. MBA degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in developing go-to-market strategies

  • Strong knowledge in software product management & technology

  • Experience with or knowledge of Pragmatic Marketing or Agile practices would be an asset

  • Familiarity with Media and Entertainment sectors, is a strong plus.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to think at both the detail and strategic levels.
