IBM Application Programmer in ARMONK, New York

Job Description

Our Group provides application and system support for the ICFS application. The International Customer Financing System (ICFS) is a strategic application which enables the lending and leasing business of IBM Global Financing. ICFS provides functionality for the financial transactions associated with clients' acquisition of hardware, software and services as well as any subsequent transactions that occur during the technology life cycle.

Job Duties: Application Support for large complex system projects in support of the IBM Global Financing business unit. Responsibilities include Testing and Support in support of ICFS projects.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5-10 years’ experience with Application/System support, Development, and Design

  • Exposure to PL1/Cobol programming; DB2; MVS operating system; IMS software product

  • Demonstrated communication skills in a customer facing environment.

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Application Development Experience

  • Prior experience in supporting IBM Global Financing and an understanding of the leasing business. MVS, IMS, DB2 system support knowledge. Experience with CICS, REXX, Enterprise Generation Language (EGL), MQ series, PL/1, COBOL, QMF, XML, Java/J2EE, Rational Business Developer (RBD), Rational Team Concert (RTC), RQM (Rational Quality Manager) RFT (Rational Functional Tester), JCL (Job Control Language)

  • Demonstrated experience in working with the ICFS (International Customer Financing System) application
