Unified Communications Architect

  • Understanding of the Cisco Unified Communications products suite (Communications Manager, Unity Connection Voicemail, Meeting Place, WebEx, Presence server, Jabber)

  • Understanding of voice and video communication protocols (SIP, H.323, MGCP)

  • Video conferencing products skills (Cisco, Tandberg, Polycom)

  • Experience with other third party communication products such as SMS gateways and Fax servers

  • Understanding of Vocera is advantage

  • ITIL methodology

  • Communicating operational changes to the business

  • Analyzing and resolving VoIP problems and issues in complicated IT environment

  • Presentation skills

  • 7 years experience as UC Lead / Architect

  • At least 3 years of experience in the delivery and operations of various communication systems (IP Telephony, Conference bridges, Wireless communication, Fax, SMS)

  • Experience as a team leader

  • Vast experience with the following Cisco unified communication products

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager 9.x and above

  • Cisco Unity Connection 9.x and above

  • Cisco Contact Center Express 9.x and above

  • Cisco MeetingPlace 8.x and above

  • WebEx® and integration with Cisco audio bridge

  • Cisco Attendant Console

  • Cisco Prime Operations Manager

  • Cisco Presence Server and Cisco Jabber

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Cisco CCIE Voice certified or Cisco CCNP Voice certified

  • Other VoIP related certifications are advantage

  • ITIL v3 Foundations
