The Distributed Cognitive Systems department has an opening for a researcher to pursue advanced technologies for the Internet of Things (IoT). The work will require explorations in areas such as: distributed analytics, cognitive computing, IoT security and privacy, and machine learning. Candidates familiar with Network Science concepts such as micro-clouds, graph algorithms, and management of distributed systems will be highly desirable. The scope will be to conduct multi-disciplinary research to address the technology challenges in large, highly distributed systems, and provide the ability to access, combine, and present information from widely disparate sources in a secure manner. We are seeking researchers who are self-motivated and passionate about developing new algorithms, expanding fundamental research bounds, and building elegant research prototypes. Candidates should be pursuing a doctoral degree in computer science, or related disciplines.
